This was the project that me and a group of friends worked on during our CMPS 427 - Video Game Design and Development course. From the beginning, we knew that we wanted Hack and Slash, but there were a few bumps along the way. In the end, we were able to deliver a pretty impressive product. I was in charge of the battle system and UI. I decided to make an arena where you can fight against hordes of enemies in a controlled environment. I was really hoping I could find the video showing the full game, but I'm not sure where we submitted it. As a result, I only have this video of our presentation when we were showcasing the arena feature. The quality isn't great, but it is all I have. It plays like DMC, but it also has a revenge feature where after the enemies take a certain amount of damage, they will retaliate. Whenever they do, you can time an input to counter the retaliation. I may provide a download link at some point, but I'd like to find the original presentation video before I decide to do that.
